Ingredients
Find the full printable recipe with specific measurements below.
- Pillsbury crescent rolls: You can find these in a can in the refrigerator section.
- Butter: This will add great flavor and help bind the sugar and cinnamon.
- Brown sugar: This will make the sweet filling even more delicious.
- Cinnamon: This adds the perfect flavor and replicate a cinnamon roll.
- Powdered sugar glaze: just powdered sugar and milk to create this easy powdered sugar icing.
How to Make Cinnamon Crescent Rolls
Step 1: Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the crescent dough and lay on top of the baking sheet.
Step 2: Spread filling on crescents
Mix together butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Using a spoon, spread the filling on top of crescent dough. Then roll up the crescents and place on baking sheet with seams down.
Step 3: Bake crescents
Bake the cinnamon crescent rolls for 9-12 minutes, or until tops are lightly golden.
Step 4: Drizzle with glaze
Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Then once the crescents have slightly cooled, drizzle glaze on top. Serve and enjoy!
Crescent Roll Desserts Variations
- Add chocolate chips or Nutella to make a delicious chocolatey version. It has similar flavors as my chocolate chip cinnamon rolls, but made with less work and time.
- Add nuts or chopped fruit for more flavor and texture.
- Other yummy toppings: powdered sugar, cream cheese glaze, caramel or melted chocolate.
- Can also make a variation for Nutella crescent rolls. Check out the ingredients and instructions in the recipe card below.
- Another fun variation is to make a cheesecake filling by spreading cream cheese on top of the dough before adding the brown sugar. You could even add some diced strawberries.
- I love using Pillsbury crescent roll dough for convenience just like with my crescent roll pizza recipe, but feel free to use homemade dough if desired
Storage and Reheating
- Storage: Add to an airtight container or zip top bag and store in fridge for 2-3 days.
- Freezing: Wrap each crescent individually in foil, then place in a freezer bag. Store in freezer for 1-2 months.
- Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 300°F until warm for best results (about 3-5 minutes).

Omg this might be the best thing I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. My pregnancy craving was cinnamon and this was fulfilled every hope and dream. We used nondairy milk (it’s all we had on hand) and topped with a little cinnamon sugar too.
Was very easy and yummy but watch out, the filling spilled all over my cookie tray when they were baking
Made these tonight… easy and delicious .. I used almond instead of vanilla.
Yummy warm treat for Sunday brunch. I didnt make the glaze and we didnt miss it.
Delicious quick treat on a cold night!! And so easy!! Definitely saving this recipe!!!
Just made these as an after school snack for the great-nephews, 5 & 8. The rating I got from the boys who had two each, was a thumbs up and a “to infinity and beyond” rating whatever that means and they want them once a week!….I’ll take that as they loved them!! They were delish in my opinion. Going to steal the cinnamon sugar recipe and use it for cinnamon toast! Thank you for the quick, easy and yummy cinnamon crescent rolls. The boys want them once a week, me too! ☺️
These are a quick easy treat with the same wow factor as some other more time consuming treats. Glad this was winner with the kids. Happy Thanksgiving, Angie!
Strange question, but could these be made in an air fryer? Introducing my air fryer to a group of seniors where I work!😊
I haven’t tested, but it looks like for regular rolls they recommend around 300 for 5 minutes (I’d check around 4). Let us know if you try it out!
The best EASY cinnamon rolls ever! I doubled the glaze! Yummy!
You can never have enough glaze! Glad you like these, Katie.

These are an easy and delicious treat. Have the kids help make the dessert. Let me know if you make them, Kimberly.
Super easy and yummy
Was just thinking that orange marmalade would be good as a filling and a bit of orange juice mixed with the powdered sugar for the glaze.
Mmm that sounds so delicious! Let me know how it goes if you give that version a try :)
Adding pecans is my favorite way to go. Delicious!

So glad you loved it :)
My family absolutely loves this. Now make it every time they come
Yay, so happy to hear that they are a hit with your family! :)
I was wondering if you could throw in a package of cream cheese for the filling? Would the butter or sugar need to be adjusted at all?
Thank you
I haven’t tested this, but let me know if you test it out. I’d probably start with half a package, softened :)
So good! Made these for dessert last night. Reheating the rest for breakfast this morning :)
