Ingredients

- Pillsbury crescent rolls: You can find these in a can in the refrigerator section.
- Butter: This will add great flavor and help bind the sugar and cinnamon.
- Brown sugar: This will make the sweet filling even more delicious.
- Cinnamon: This adds the perfect flavor and replicate a cinnamon roll.
- Powdered sugar glaze: just powdered sugar and milk to create this easy powdered sugar icing.
How to Make Cinnamon Crescent Rolls
Step 1: Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the crescent dough and lay on top of the baking sheet.
Step 2: Spread filling on crescents
Mix together butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Using a spoon, spread the filling on top of crescent dough. Then roll up the crescents and place on baking sheet with seams down.
Step 3: Bake crescents
Bake the cinnamon crescent rolls for 9-12 minutes, or until tops are lightly golden.
Step 4: Drizzle with glaze
Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Then once the crescents have slightly cooled, drizzle glaze on top. Serve and enjoy!
Crescent Roll Desserts Variations
- Add chocolate chips or Nutella to make a delicious chocolatey version. It has similar flavors as my chocolate chip cinnamon rolls, but made with less work and time.
- Add nuts or chopped fruit for more flavor and texture.
- Other yummy toppings: powdered sugar, cream cheese glaze, caramel or melted chocolate.
- Can also make a variation for Nutella crescent rolls. Check out the ingredients and instructions in the recipe card below.
- Another fun variation is to make a cheesecake filling by spreading cream cheese on top of the dough before adding the brown sugar. You could even add some diced strawberries.
- I love using Pillsbury crescent roll dough for convenience just like with my crescent roll pizza recipe, but feel free to use homemade dough if desired
Storage and Reheating
- Storage: Add to an airtight container or zip top bag and store in fridge for 2-3 days.
- Freezing: Wrap each crescent individually in foil, then place in a freezer bag. Store in freezer for 1-2 months.
- Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 300°F until warm for best results (about 3-5 minutes).

SUPER EASY & FAMILY FAVORITE
I was craving something sweet and came across this recipe and happen to have all the ingredients These turned out perfect and tasted so good
I’m so glad you enjoyed these! :)
My sister in law makes something like this but she rolls a marshmallow in the butter/cinnamon/sugar and then wraps the crescent roll around it. Marshmallow disappears during baking and creates sweetness inside.
We make those during Easter time and call them Resurrection rolls. Such a fun treat to make with kids. :)
OMG so good. I love crescent rolls – there’s so much you can do with them, I always have at least one roll of them in the fridge at all times. Made these for dessert last night and they were a huge hit!
YUM! I made these as an alternative to homemade cinnamon rolls, and my girls loved them!
I know what I am having for breakfast tomorrow! This looks like a great way to start my day! Delish!
If you make them, just know that they’re totally addicting!!
Love how easy these are to make! So YUMMY! Thank you!
I’m so glad you enjoy them!
Have you ever cut each crescent roll into 2 or 3 triangles? It makes each roll single bite size. I do that for pigs in a blanket. I will try it with peanut butter and jelly. WhT do you think?
Sounds delicious! I think it will work great! :)
can you use can chocolate icing instead of the nutella ?are just some melted chocolate
?We dont’ really like the nutella, on the dessert crescent rolls
Absolutely! That would be delicious!
Just made these. I am a big fan of chocolate, banana, and peanut butter together, so I added banana slices. I also added some toffee bits. Holy moly is that good!
I must admit I had my doubts about this recipe.. However, I ended up using the Hershey’s version version of Nutella…Although when I got it home.. I noticed it was just plain Hershey’s chocolate. I made just the one batch, OMG
Amazing, right?! :)
We put a few chocolate chips and a spoon full of raspberry jam and have them for breakfast.
Sounds delicious Megan! Thanks for stopping by! :)
These might just be my new addiction! So yummy!
Seriously, I love how easy and delicious these are!!
Omg that looks so good.
We always make them just using the Nutella and sprinkle them with powdered sugar when they are done. Everyone LOVES them in our house. As my boys get bigger though, it is getting harder and harder for me to only make one batch of them…. Much less one batch of anything! I’m going to be cooking massive amounts of food when they hit their teen years!
