Festive, refreshing and easy to make holiday sangria mocktail is made with two kinds of juices and fresh fruit. This family-friendly non-alcoholic drink is perfect for entertaining!
Other beverage recipes I love to serve at parties include Christmas holiday punch, crockpot wassail and non-alcoholic sangria.
Festive Sangria Mocktail
The holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year for an obvious reason—the food! Some of my other favorite holiday recipes include these one-hour cinnamon roll recipe, these candied pecans, and this savory scalloped sweet potato recipe. So tasty!
There are so many great things about the holidays. It usually means extra time with friends and family and watching your kids enjoy the magic of the season. And yes, of course, there’s the food.
Delicious dinners, festive parties, and school events. Everything is so sparkly and pretty this season! This Thanksgiving sangria recipe is no exception. The base is a beautiful orange color that’s right on-trend for the fall and winter seasons. Each glass is loaded with spices and fruits—it’s all the best flavors of the season served in one beautiful cup.
Non-Alcoholic Sangria Mocktail
For those who avoid alcohol, holiday parties can be a bit tricky. There seems to be an abundance of wine and cocktails flowing at events, but not as many options outside of water to sip on. Thankfully, this Christmas holiday sangria will be enjoyed by everyone, whether or not they drink alcohol.
It’s also a beautiful drink idea for those who prefer to opt-out of the alcoholic beverages at the holiday parties, but would love to sip on a gorgeous drink while they visit!
In fact, this mocktail is one of my kids’ favorite beverages, that is when they aren’t requesting my Grinch punch recipe! We don’t make it often, but I like to surprise them with it every once in a while around the holidays.
There’s one major difference of how I serve this for kids versus my guests at events—the cups! My kids definitely do not get to enjoy the fancy wine glasses all the adults hold while sipping this holiday sangria. Instead, they get small mason jars that fit perfectly in their smaller hands.
Easy to Make-Ahead
This holiday mocktail is actually best if you make it ahead of time. This is great news for those of us who host since we tend to have our hands extra full on the day!
The fruit flavors in the recipe will meld a bit as they chill. If you opt to make this holiday sangria mocktail recipe ahead of time, I highly recommend leaving the sparkling juice out until just before you serve. Otherwise, the drink will still taste great, but it won’t have that slightly fizzy taste.
Set out this red sangria mocktail in a clear pitcher when it’s time to serve. It will add edible decor to your table, and guests will absolutely flock to it.
Favorite Fruits to Add to a Sangria Mocktail
This Christmas sangria mocktail can be customized easily to work with whatever you have on hand. The liquid base is made from cranberry juice and sparkling grape juice, but you can completely customize the fruit that’s added to suit your tastes. Some of my favorites include:
- Cranberries: Fresh whole cranberries add bright color and naturally compliment the juice.
- Diced red apples: Easily found year round and best to add if you like the sweeter taste of a red apple.
- Diced green apples: I love how tart green apples pair perfectly with the sweeter juices.
- Orange wedges: Brings a great citrus flavor to the sangria mocktail.
- Cinnamon sticks: Adds warm flavor making this mocktail perfect for the holidays.
- Sliced plums: Another seasonal fruit that is perfect for winter.

Such a fun drink for holiday parties! We ended up making it like this and then also left a bottle of champagne next to it so people could add a little boozy twist if they wanted. So good and looks really festive. :)
