Greek-Style Chicken Burger
Burgers are one of the first grilling recipes we make when the weather warms up. This Greek chicken burger recipe is the perfect way to switch it up from the normal hamburger patties and turkey burgers! They are so moist and juicy with tons of Mediterranean flavor!
The Greek flavors added the perfect touch to the classic chicken burger. The red peppers, parsley, red onion and feta cheese enhanced the flavor so much! Just like my Greek chicken meatballs they were a hit with the whole family! The best part about this Greek burger is that you can have dinner on the table in 20 minutes!
How to Make Greek Chicken Burgers
You’re going to start with ground chicken, red peppers, feta cheese, fresh chopped parsley, minced garlic, kosher salt, dried oregano and ground black pepper. Once it’s combined, you can shape your patties. This recipe makes enough for 4 patties.
Grill the chicken patties on medium heat for about 4 to 5 minutes per side. The outsides should have charred grill marks and the insides should no longer be pink. You can check the temperature with a meat thermometer to ensure they’re cooked through.
We served our chicken burgers inside a flatbread with sliced red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and tzatziki sauce. SO, so good!
Serving Ideas
To take these Green-inspired burgers over the top, serve them inside homemade pita bread or naan bread. They’ll taste just like they came from an authentic Greek restaurant! For a low carb option you can make a chicken burger in a bowl!
Ground Chicken Burger Tips
- Don’t over mix. Mix until just combined, then form into patties. Over mixing causes the burgers to dry out.
- Prevent bulging. Make a thumbprint in the middle of the each patty to keep the burgers from bulging.
- Don’t flip too early. Once you place them on the grill, wait 4 or 5 minutes to move or flip them. You want them to solidify and get those beautiful grill marks.
- Grill inside or out. These can be made in the oven as well. Place the burgers on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F for about 20 to 25 minutes.

Have made this twice now and everyone loves it. Only change I make is to add some diced red onions to the burger. Love the naan bread, tzakziki and thinly sliced cucumbers on the top. I find it helps to put the burgers on a sheet pan and put in fridge for about 30 minutes to firm them up before placing on the grill as it keeps them from falling apart.
I’m so glad you love them! And great tip about chilling the burgers prior to grilling :)
Is nutrition info based just on the burger itself?
It includes the flatbread as well :)
