This yogurt parfait is an easy grab-go option for a healthy breakfast on busy mornings! Ready in 5 minutes with 3 ingredients, it is simple to make with yogurt, granola and fruit.
Yogurt Parfait Recipe
When mornings are busy it can be hard to set time aside to make breakfast! That is why I love a yogurt parfait. All you need are 3 ingredients and 5 minutes and this easy recipe is ready to go.
A fruit parfait with yogurt is not only easy to make but great to make ahead in a mason jar and customize it how you like! Use seasonal fruit or your favorite yogurt including dairy free yogurt, add some nuts or even chia seeds.
Ingredient Notes
- Yogurt: I love to use vanilla or plain Greek yogurt as I prefer the thickness of a Greek style yogurt. Use whatever you like!
- Mixed Berries: I used a mix of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. Strawberries would be great, too!
- Granola: I prefer to use my healthy homemade granola but any store bought brand works.
How to Make a Yogurt Parfait
This yogurt parfait recipe is super simple and very easy to customize.
- Layer. Start with a glass, or even a jar and then start by packing the ingredients in layers.
- Drizzle. I start with a layer of Greek yogurt, then a tiny drizzle of honey.
- Add. Then I add the granola, some chia seeds.,
- Top. Finally I top it off with some beautiful fresh berries.
- Repeat. Then all you have to do is repeat the process. And there you have it, an easy breakfast parfait.
TIP: You can also use this recipe to make a yogurt bowl. Instead of layering in a cup or jar, place the yogurt in a bowl and add your favorite toppings over the yogurt.
Variations and Toppings
- Granola. You can use any granola. Purely Elizabeth and Kind Granola are store bought favorites. You can also use muesli instead of granola if you’d like.
- Yogurt. The possibilities are endless here. I prefer to use plain yogurt that isn’t loaded with sugar, vanilla yogurt is great, too! Some of my favorite brands are Fage, Chobani and Kirkland. Whole milk yogurt will make the parfait creamier.
- Honey. Since I use plain yogurt, I like to add sweetness with a drizzle of honey. Maple syrup would be great, too.
- Fruit. You can add any of your favorite fresh fruits. The possibilities are endless and it always results in a healthy and delicious breakfast that you can whip up in 5 minutes. Some of my other favorites to add are bananas, peaches, dried berries. I also love using frozen berries and melting them a little, so they create a fruit syrup on top of the yogurt.
- Nuts. Chopped pecans or walnuts also make a great addition to a parfait and add a little bit of sweet and salty. A scoop of peanut butter on top is also delicious!
- Coconut. Toasted coconut, shredded coconut or coconut flakes also taste amazing on top.
Storage
Store the fruit and yogurt parfait covered in the refrigerator up to 3 days. The granola will soften the longer it is refrigerated.
