This white chocolate popcorn recipe is a favorite quick and easy treat around here! Stovetop popcorn is coated in sweet white chocolate for the perfect no bake dessert for popcorn and chocolate lovers alike!
I love the taste of fresh popcorn made on the stove, but you could make things even easier and use microwave popcorn instead. For a sweet and salty combo, add more salt and for added crunch and flavor, throw in some additional candies and treats.

- Popcorn: You will need 8-10 cups of popped popcorn.
- White chocolate: I prefer white chocolate melting wafers but white chocolate chips can be used or even almond bark.
Fun Popcorn Mix Ins
- Add a dark chocolate drizzle
- Pretzels would add a salty crunch
- Throw in a handful of M&Ms or sixlets
- Crush Oreo cookies for cookies and cream popcorn
- Add colorful sprinkles like I do in cake batter popcorn our use nonpareils to make a festive Christmas popcorn.
How to Make White Chocolate Popcorn
Place the white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute at 50% power. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Microwave an additional 15 seconds if needed.
In a large bowl, combine popcorn and white chocolate. Stir until the popcorn mixture is coated. Lay the popcorn and chocolate combination out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Add sprinkles, mini marshmallows or candy on top if desired.
Leave on counter or place popcorn in the refrigerator until it has hardened and then break up the clumps and enjoy one of your new favorite movie night snacks.

Ingredients

- 1 cup white chocolate melting wafers , melted
Instructions
- Prep. Lay down a piece of wax paper onto a baking sheet.
- Melt white chocolate. Place the white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute at 50% power. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Microwave and additional 15 seconds if needed.
- Coat popcorn. In a large bowl, combine popcorn and white chocolate. Stir until coated. Spread mix onto the wax paper in an even layer. Add sprinkles or candy on top if desired.
- Rest until set. Leave on counter or place popcorn in the refrigerator until it has hardened and then break into pieces.

This popcorn will keep fresh for up to 3 days in an airtight container, so you can portion it out and give them away as little gifts for Christmas or treat bags at birthday parties. Wrap them up in cellophane or plastic bags and tie them with a ribbon.
Use whatever type of popcorn kernels that you love. Plain, salted, with butter, microwave, or stovetop.
I prefer Ghirardelli white melting wafers but Wilton candy melts, Candi Quik or white almond bark could be used as well. If you can’t find candy melts white chocolate chips are also an option.
I prefer the microwave and microwave in 30 second intervals stirring between each interval to prevent burning. You could also use a double boiler on the stovetop. If have trouble getting your white chocolate to the right consistency add in some coconut oil or vegetable shortening.
