No Yeast Pizza Dough Recipe
We make a homemade pizza recipe almost every week at our house. Whenever we’re out of yeast or don’t have time for homemade pizza dough, this no yeast pizza dough comes in handy.
It’s no secret that my kids love pizza. If you can’t find yeast in stores or are all out, this easy no yeast pizza dough recipe is perfect. Other pizza night favorites include French pizza bread recipe, pizza dip or pizza pinwheels with refrigerated crescents.
Why I Love This Recipe
- Perfect for when you don’t have yeast: Plus you only need 4 ingredients and water! It’s great when you need dinner in a pinch and so simple even kids could make it.
- Flavorful, tender crust: True, it doesn’t rise, so it won’t be as fluffy, but it still has a great texture and chew. It’s as authentic as it gets for a pizza crust without yeast.
- Versatile: It’s easy to adapt the toppings to your personal preference (or what you have in the fridge). Go with a classic pepperoni pizza or make BBQ chicken pizza!
Yeast Free Pizza Dough Ingredients
- All-purpose flour: All-purpose flour, plain flour or bread flour can all be used.
- Baking powder: This is what will give your pizza rise without using yeast.
- Table or fine sea salt: Adds flavor.
- Olive oil: Keeps the dough moist so it’s not dry and crumbly.
How to Make No Yeast Pizza Dough
- Mix the dough. In a large bowl, stir together the dry ingredients. Then pour in the oil and slowly stir in the water until a smooth dough forms (you may not need to use all of the water). You can use a stand mixer with a dough hook, dough whisk or wooden spoon to mix.
- Roll it out. Dust the counter with flour, then begin to roll out the dough with a rolling pin. You want the shape to be 1/4-inch thick and 14-inches wide. You can also make two smaller pizzas that are 7-inches wide. Then add the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Add toppings. Spread 1/2 cup sauce on top of the dough or until well covered, then add on your favorite toppings.
- Bake. Bake in oven at 415°F for 15 minutes, or until the the top is golden and bubbly and the center is cooked through. The smaller sized pizzas will bake for about 12 minutes. Then slice and enjoy!
Tips for Pizza Crust without Yeast
- Brush pizza dough edges with olive oil before baking to keep the edges moist and golden brown without drying out.
- Freeze raw dough rolled out and topped up to 3 months. Bake from frozen.
- Make a flavored dough by adding fresh herbs into the mixture.
- Make one 14-inch family sized pizza or two 7-inch pizzas.
Pizza Toppings For Yeast-Free Pizza Dough
- Mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and pizza sauce
- Sliced mozzarella cheese and tomatoes

How to Store No-Yeast Pizza Dough
Another great thing about this pizza is that you can make the dough up to 24 hours in advance. Simply mix the dough until it’s smooth, then wrap tightly in saran wrap and store in the fridge. When ready to enjoy, roll it out and add your favorite toppings. Then bake as directed!
